The BCSA school sponsorship program began in 2004 once BCSA realized that some of its young players were unable to attend school as their families could not afford to pay their school fees. As a result, in its first year as a project, BCSA recognized the value of education to contribute to young people's holistic development and as a result, BCSA members sponsored a small number of players to go back to school. Since then, more players are sponsored to go to school and currently, BSA supports 100 boys and girls ranging from grade 6 to grade 12 through donations from Sweden, Norway and Zambia.

The Academy is currently sponsoring over 300 through the Chiparamba Foundation in Sweden, the Norwegian Africa Aid program. Individuals in Zambia have all contributed to boys and girls who remain close to those sponsoring them.

BCSA's new partnership with Chiparamba Foundation will ensure that even more children are sponsored to study from the year 2010 onwards. BCSA would like to thank all those who have contributed to the welfare to the boys and girls through the opportunity to go to class and more importantly, with a new hope for better lives.
