BSA player gets U20 national team call up

An impressive Damiano Phiri (18) got his first under 20 national team call up after a good year at Zambian giants, Green Buffaloes. The under 20 Zambia national team is currently participating at the COSAFA U20 tournament in South Africa.

Damiano started his career at BSA when he was 13 years old. He quickly rose to senior ranks at BSA due to his hard work and good leadership skills. Damiano recently completed his grade 12 at Kabulonga boys where he also played in the school team. Damiano has in the past been selected to represent Zambia in Brazil as a youth player and he has been a great peer leader for both BSA and Grassroot Soccer.
 

BSA at the world cup draws in Cape Town

Breakthrough Sports Academy was invited by FIFA to participate at the opening of the first Football For Hope center on the 5th of December, 2009 in Kayelitsha Cape Town. BSA Execuitve Director Malanga Jeff Mposha and the team attend the opening ceremony which was opened by FIFA President Sepp Blatter. All teams participated in the Grassroot Soccer HIV activities which are aimed at equipping youths with knowledge on HIV and Aids.
